Nagoya located at the center of Japan is a large
city in fourth in Japan of population two million.
It is given to rich water of three big rivers such as Kisogawa,
Ibigawa, and Nagara-gawa River, and the Nobi Plain that stretches
to Nagoya brings a rich food product, and is the productive land
on a nationwide scale.
Nagoya appeared one after another three heroes (Nobunaga Oda, Hideyoshi
Toyotomi, and Ieyasu Tokugawa) who were able to decide the history
of Japan in 16 century if eyes were turned to the history.
Nagoya is a big city that supports the economy of Japan as a town
of industry now though it politically had an important power to
make decisions and power in Tokugawa Period that continued for 300
years until the 19th end of the century.
On the sightseeing side, there is Nagoya Castle, famous for a pair
of the golden dolphins on the roof, the Tokugawa Art Museum where
general Tokugawa's heirloom is exhibited and Toyota Automobile Museum.
It is possible to go in Kyoto and Takayama by the day trip from
Nagoya.
Central Japan International Airport (Centrair) is connected to major
cities around the world by direct flights and by domestic flights
from Narita as well as Kansai International Airport. Nagoya Station
is the nucleus of a railway network comprising JR, private railways,
and subway lines. Nagoya is reached from Tokyo in around 1 hour
and 40 minutes and Osaka, Kyoto within 1 hour by JR bullet trains
(Shinkansen Nozomi).
